GIS for Organizing: Introduction to ArcView - 16-hour session

This 16-hour, two-day, hands-on training introduces the basics of ArcView to create maps and to analyze demographic information to increase the effectiveness of community organizing and campaign efforts. The training is available for ArcView versions 3.2, 8.2, and 9.2.

GIS Lab: Strategic Targeting - 8-hour session

This session will provide participants with hands-on experience using GIS as a tool to analyze their region and base constituency. Using GIS mapping, voter participation data, and demographic analysis, this session will help guide participants through basic steps to developing a plan that integrates their strategic goals. Participants will determine where they can, want and need to build power in order to develop more strategic organizing plans.
