The Los Angeles Metropolitan Alliance’s victories include: pressuring DreamWorks and other studios to create a $10+ million fund to provide entertainment industry job training and guaranteed jobs for poor communities and communities of color that have traditionally been locked out; pressuring the City of LA to create a model welfare-to-work program that provides on-the-job training, livable wages and a path to permanent, unionized city jobs.
